"Open Merchants" are merchants that are in the Shoppable product catalog and have products available for all users who sign up to use Shoppable. These merchants do not require special approval or any additional steps. A user can create a Shoppable account, curate products from Open Merchants, and then launch their shop and start promoting them.
"Private Merchants" are merchants that Shoppable partners with, but are not available for all accounts to use and promote. There are a variety of reasons why a merchant might be private, but users will not see Private Merchants or their products when conducting a product search.
